Ingredients for :
1 1/2 cups (1 lb) powdered sugar
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup milk, to start
1 teaspoon vanilla

Butter Cream Icing

Add all ingredients to the powdered sugar and beat.

Add more milk, if needed.

Beat until smooth and creamy, but stiff.

Separate portions.

Add food coloring to each.

Decorate cookies, as desired.
